Baby it's cold outside! Brrrr.... Guess it is a GREAT time to sit here and look at photographs from last summer and try to think warm thoughts. Both dogs are curled up on sofa and I'm wrapped in my shawl wishing I made some more tea... Been busy today sorting through what I want to put on the website and how I want to make it all jive together.

Spent some time looking at numerous other CSA and Small Farm websites trying to glean some ideas. I found oodles of inspiration and jotted down lots of sketches and ideas. Now to come up with one of our own. I have started a CSA Member handbook that I'll make into a .pdf for easy download. I think communitcating with our customers is vital. Also, been making a few abstracts of Newsletters. We will have one each week during the CSA program and we'd like to marry it together with the Raspberry Farm too.

Spent most of last evening going through seed catalogues and dreaming of the smell of fresh dirt. Decided since this is our first year with the CSA we wanted to offer a nice selection of items but want to keep it simple as far as varieties, just good old fashioned veggies and fruits.

Don was out checking the beehives today. He discovered two had survived and we lost three. Now he'll bring the empty boxes in and clean them up and get them ready for spring. The two hives that have survived so far will be very strong and will be able to be spilt into four colonies. We'll just have to order  four packages of bees this spring. We can taste the honey already.... yum.
